The death of her cousin brings a young Black woman back to Philadelphia where she must confront all the people and circumstances that she left behind.
Story
A Song for Nia is a digital dramedy series about the homecoming of Nia, a young Black creative living in LA, for her cousin’s funeral. Nia has been disconnected from many since she chose to place her dreams over what she left behind in Philly.
The work
We hired over 50 Black creatives for various from development through to post-production roles.
Community Support
We worked with 10 local and Black-owned businesses as vendors for services such as locations, catering, hair and makeup, grief counseling and wardrobe.
